Hello, hello lovelies, it's been quite a while! I truly hope this finds you well.
I'm still taking a break from the "shoulds, " which includes taking a break from scheduled social media posts. However, when I feel inspired to post, I will pop in on Instagram and Facebook, so I hope to see you there!
Despite this being a time of cocooning in my business, it is filled with beautiful experiences. For instance, my dear friend, soul sister, and student, Akiko, graciously invited me to co-speak at a John Muir Health event at the Breast Health Center. The joy of sharing our experiences and insights was truly special, and I felt honored to be a part of it.
It was a gathering for young cancer thrivers who, due to treatments, may be facing early menopause. As someone experiencing natural menopause, I found the information incredibly insightful and beneficial for navigating the menopause journey from perimenopause to post-menopause.
Akiko and I discussed the benefits of Reiki in managing menopausal symptoms, especially for cancer thrivers who cannot opt for hormone replacement therapy.
We delved into the power of mindfulness and how Reiki, as a complementary therapy to traditional treatments, can be a beacon of hope, offering relief and comfort in managing menopause symptoms.
While Reiki may not directly impact hormone levels within the body, its ability to induce a state of calm and inner peace can play an essential role in effectively managing various menopausal symptoms by encouraging a person's natural energy to flow, promoting relaxation, and alleviating menopausal symptoms.
Hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disruptions are common challenges experienced by individuals going through menopause, and the calming effects of Reiki on the nervous system can provide relief in coping with these issues.
By promoting a sense of tranquility and reducing stress levels, Reiki can help alleviate the intensity and frequency of hot flashes and mood swings leading to a more comfortable experience during this transitional phase in a person's life.
Additionally, the relaxing effects of Reiki can assist in improving sleep quality, allowing individuals to enjoy more restful and rejuvenating sleep, which is essential for overall health and vitality.
As I navigated the complexities of menopause, I found myself grappling with the bewildering changes occurring within my body. The unfamiliar sensations and symptoms seemed confusing to me and I pulled out every tool in my toolbox to help me.
However, as I suffered in silence because I lacked the awareness of where to go for support, I have come to realize the importance of open discussions surrounding menopause. By shedding light on this phase of life, we can disprove the myths and stigma attached to it, allowing for a more inclusive and supportive environment. I am grateful to engage in conversations that normalize menopause. I find it empowering and it allows individuals to feel seen, heard, and understood in their experiences.
Let's normalize menopause!
Be Well, Be You, and Be Radiant✨
P.S.
If you are experiencing menopausal symptoms during this transformative journey, consider adding holistic therapies to your toolbox. Reiki is only one such treatment, but there are other drug-free alternatives.
Remember, you are not alone in navigating the intricate path of menopause. I understand the journey through menopause can be a rollercoaster of emotions and physical changes. We are in this together; connected by our shared experiences and understanding.
I encourage you to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or simply wish to share your thoughts on your menopausal journey. While I am not a medical professional, I can offer you insights and support based on my firsthand experience with natural menopause. I am sitting in the fire with you, sister!
